At Anglesea Medical Practice, we take pride in maintaining high standards and accessible healthcare, and we remain committed to providing the comprehensive and compassionate care our patients value. Our focus is on sustaining a long-term, viable medical centre for the Anglesea community.

Please note that all General Practitioners consulting at Anglesea Medical Practice are independent practitioners and maintain full autonomy over their billing practices. As a result, fees may vary between doctors and differ from the indicative fee schedule provided by the clinic.

Consultation Fees

  • Consultation fees are payable on the day of your appointment.

  • Saturday morning consultations attract higher fees due to the additional costs associated with providing this service.

  • Healthcare Card holders and Pensioners may receive reduced fees at the discretion of their treating doctor.

  • If you are experiencing significant financial hardship, please discuss this with your doctor. Any fee adjustments remain at the discretion of the individual practitioner.

  • Some consultations and procedures may attract fees that are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Payment Options

As a small business, prompt payment on the day of consultation is both appreciated and expected.

We accept:

  • EFTPOS

  • Most major credit cards

  • Cash

If your bank account details are registered with Medicare, we can submit your Medicare rebate claim on your behalf. In most cases, rebates are deposited into your nominated account immediately or within 24 hours.

Cancellations and Non-Attendance

A fee of $50.00-$82.00 may apply to appointments that are not attended or are cancelled without sufficient notice.

Important Information

Please bring the following to every appointment:

  • Current Medicare card

  • Any concession card, including:

    • Health Care Card

    • Commonwealth Seniors Health Card

    • Pensioner Concession Card

Reception staff may also request photographic identification for certain appointments.

  • All fees listed by the clinic are indicative only.

  • Final billing decisions are made by the treating doctor.

  • Saturday morning consultations are subject to higher fees.

  • We recommend confirming the expected fee when making your appointment.
