  • Skin Cancer and Skin checks

Australian's have the highest rates of skin cancer in the world with around 70% of the population having a non-Melanoma skin cancer in their lifetime.

Living on the Surf Coast brings exposure to the sun and looking after your skin and monitoring for any new or changing skin lesions is vital.

We provide minor surgery for the majority of skin cancers we see, and refer on as needed to specialist services. All doctors here have extra training in dermoscopy and skin cancer management.

  • Mental Health

With more than 1 in 5 Australian's experiencing mental illness in any year, our team are keenly aware of the need to support people who are struggling with their state of mind. Depression, anxiety and substance use disorder are the most common illnesses.

If you're finding things too hard, please make an appointment to see your GP. Your GP works from a bio-psycho-social approach and will work with you to find the right support in conjunction with psychologists and psychiatrists if necessary.

Opiate Replacement Therapy for people with prescribed and non-prescribed medication issues is also available.

EMERGENCY SERVICES + WALK-IN CARE

While we are not an Emergency Department, we are often the first port of call for urgent treatment. Our nurses will triage for urgency and where appropriate we will manage on site or transfer to Geelong if needed.

These services can include laceration assessment and suturing, wound care, burn care, undisplaced fracture management, concussion assessment, ECGs, asthma management and anaphylaxis.

We encourage people to call 000 for medical emergencies prior to attending our clinic.

If you are uncertain call Nurse On Call 1300 60 60 24 who will guide you as to what to do.

We have on the day appointments each day, which patients are able to access and book via reception after 8:30am or online via HotDoc.
